Here they are – the last set of photos of Christmas in the Conservatory at Longwood Gardens. I’ll be sharing photos of the Tree Houses and Wildlife Tree in tomorrow’s blog post.
Every year the display in the Exhibition Hall is amazing. This year – it featured two large swan topiaries, poinsettias in the fountain, two wonderful trees and the entrance to the Peacock Masquerade Ball in the Music Room

Decorations in the organ room are always a bit more subdued and a bit more elegant that others in the Conservatory.

The Mediterranean Garden always features a tree decorated to coordinate with the colors of the flowers in bloom in that garden. This year’s tree continued the bird theme with bird of paradise flowers on the tree

The Silver Garden features succulents and cactuses. This year – Longwood turned the Silver Garden into a Penguin Playground.

Each year, local schoolchildren are invited to decorate several trees in the Conservatory. This year – one of the trees featured pink flamingos – one of my favorite birds (for those of you who don’t know – I do keep close to 40 plastic pink flamingos in my garage – you never know when you’re going to need to celebrate with pink flamingos!)
