A Hint of Mint: Color Block Top & Baby Skinnies

By Verybusymama @verybusymama
What a great weekend! On Saturday the Mr. and I went out. ALONE. To dinner. Then my mamá took Little M to stay with her giving us a little break.
On Sunday the weather was GORGEOUS and warm and Little L and I had our very first girls day out.
And yes, I thought about what she'd wear —I was so excited! We were going to a friend's baby shower and it was the perfect time to debut her mint skinnies. I'm just happy one of us can wear pastels this spring and she looked super chic in her pink cardigan and gray Trumpettes (socks that look like Mary Jane's).
As for me, I make no secret that I am still wearing my maternity jeans and I wore these pink ones with a mint and blue color block top, my Tempest Stella & Dot Necklace and a pair of open toed low-heeled shoes from Clarks UK.

It was windy and sunny!

I figured a hint of mint would be better than trying to pull off a look that just wouldn't work on me (such as mint jeans or a shirt). You've seen my Steve Madden mint bag, but I wanted something else without feeling uncomfortable. I found this color block Merona top at Target for $10 and the mint skinny jeans for $5 — PERFECT for Little L and I!

Mint Looks for Mom and Daughter

It was great to get out with my little girl and I can't wait for the warmer weather so that she can start wearing the super cute dresses I've bought for her and maybe even go all out and wear matching clothes.
I don't care what anyone says, dressing girls is SO much more fun than boys. Believe me, my little man has some serious style, but I just go weak in the knees when I see mini-me versions of outfits!
Oh and as an added bonus, the Tempest necklace is baby safe —it's durable and sturdy and won't break when Little L grabs a hold of it.
Have a great week mamas and stay stylish.
¡besos!
