I’VE GOT A HAMSTER!!!! Well I actually got him over a month ago now, he’s been on my Twitter and Instagram feed but now is finally the time to do a post about him here on my blog. Everyone, meet Bilbo :) I can’t even tell you how much I love him, he’s my favorite little fluffy guy in the world and it’s so hard not to just squish him everytime I get him out of his cage.
Sadly, he lives at Alex’s house because my parents won’t let him stay here, but I don’t mind because I seen him nearly everyday anway and when Alex goes on holiday he can come and stay with me. I didn’t realize what good pets hamster were until I got Bilbo, they definitely aren’t good for children, but for someone who maybe still lives at home or can’t have anything like a dog in their house, a hamster is the perfect option. They are so easy to look after and don’t cost much money at all, and look how cute they are!!
Funny story about Bilbo Baggins, he’s actually a girl. When we first wanted to get a hamster we thought we wanted a boy, but my best friend Manda (who is a massive hamster obsessive) told me that erm… a boy hamster has rather large *parts* haha! I decided we should get a girl instead and when we went to the shop to choose a hamster and chose Bilbo, thankfully he was a girl. It’s a bit confusing I know, but basically we just call him a him. He lives in a little blue cage at the minute with a wooden house (the shire), but I’m rather obsessed with looking at hamster cage accessories so I really need to get him a bigger one!
Ahhhhhhh I am just absolutely obsessed with him, I’m like a proud parent showing off pictures of him, and I will sit and talk about him all day to anyone who is listening. It’s so funny watching him go about his life just plodding around climbing everywhere, he’s so speedy though so when I get him out of his cage I have to keep such a close eye on him!
I’m sure this won’t be the last post Bilbo will feature in, but for now I shall leave you with these few photos to see just how cute he is :) I actually think the first two are from his first few days at home with us, then the bottom ones are the most recent :)
I’m not sure what Alex will say when he sees that photo on here, but I just think it’s too cute/funny not to share, and to be honest is he really going to notice? Muahaha.
