A Closer Look At PopCon Asia 2012

The comic book scene in Indonesia has always been a big hit, mostly from translated mangas.  New DC and Marvel movies has recently swept the nation with new interest and taste for western style comic books.  Moreover, it has also inspired some the Indonesian artists to render their own version of Super Heroes and villains, inspired by Indonesian legends and myths.  This whole scene is relatively new thus they introduced themselves through PopCon.  So come on folks, let’s check out what hey have to show.

So what do they have to show for PopCon 2012?

As previously stated, the event was mainly about the emerging in-house comic scene here in Indonesia. Artists from around the nation has gathered here to showcase some of their work and do live drawings. One example are the folks from Stellar Labs, checkout their facebook here.
