After having a bit of a beauty product clear out I came across these two products from Simple which I'd bought months ago but completely forgot about, and decided I wanted to make a change in my skin-care routine for a little while. You'll know that I am an avid user of the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and Superdrug Vitamin E Intense Moisture cream as my daily cleanser and moisturiser but after rediscovering these two from the Kind To Skin range I thought why not give them a go. I'm happy to say that my skin has been loving this combo lately and even the dreaded hormonal breakouts were kept to a minimum which is always a lovely bonus. Here's my thoughts on each..
Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser and Purifying Cleansing Lotion, currently £2 each in Superdrug
At first I was a bit dubious about switching to the Purifying Cleansing Lotion as I have been loving the Cleanse & Polish for months now and was also set in my ways with using a wash-off cream cleanser as opposed to a cream applied with cotton wool which is required with the Simple cleanser. It has little to no scent which is great for sensitive skin and the thick cream is easily absorbed into the skin which makes removing make-up an easier task, although I do still follow this up with a wet muslin cloth to make sure that all remains of make-up are gone and there are no panda eyes in sight. My skin has been looking a lot clearer and less prone to spots since switching to this cleanser which I'm very happy about and I'm sure I will be getting a lot more use out of it now that my C&P bottle is just about empty (sob sob).
The Hydrating Light Moisturiser was another welcome change in my routine as it is exactly what it says on the tin, a simple and light moisturiser (duh Kirsty). The cream is of a very light consistency which only takes a matter of seconds to be completely absorbed by the skin and leaves my face feeling so soft and smooth after use. I was starting to find my beloved Vitamin E moisturiser a bit too rich for my skin so this offering from Simple was the perfect alternative and you only need to use the smallest amount of product which means the bottle will last you quite a while.
All in all I'm really happy with these two products from the Simple Kind To Skin range as they have definitely turned into my skin's new best friends. You can find these two (along with the rest of the Simple range) in plenty of supermarkets and pharmacies, with Superdrug currently having an offer on a number of Simple products. The Kind To Skin Soothing Skin Toner is next on my shopping list and is also included in the £2 Superdrug offer so watch this space!
