For Christmas, my mom and dad surprised me with a gift certificate for Suites at 249 in Culpeper, Virginia as a little "extra" present. I hadn't had a chance to use it until this previous weekend and I will definitely be back.
The hotel is located on Davis Street in Culpeper, Virginia; close to the train depot, in historic downtown. The way your stay works is prior to your visit, you give the management a code that you will use as your lock code for entrance to the building and entrance to your room, a pretty nifty feature if you ask me. The suite was on the top floor, complete with hardwood floors, a steam shower, skylight in the bathroom, balcony, and an extremely comfy bed.
The suite I stayed in was called the Verde Suite and was green themed and absolutely darling. The fire place was controlled by a remote and though it was ninety degrees outside, I took full advantage of that feature. The balcony was the perfect place to sit and enjoy dinner and the cooler weather of the evening. Check out the website for Suite at 249 and make it a place you stay if you ever visit the area!
