This phrase uttered by a gaggle of girls I once saw at a shopping center. Whilst not aimed at me, it just as well could have. The woman in question couldn’t have been much bigger than myself today, a size 14 or 16 at most. I remember thinking to myself how beautiful this woman was, not the traditional size 6 but she owned her size and adorned the skinny girl only skinny jeans with confidence. At a young age i saw how being that chubby girl could be a good thing, this event always comes to mind when i start to doubt myself and/or my weight. Reminding me that the size on my tag doesn’t define me as a person.
