It’s been awhile! Here’s a little diary of what I’ve been up to.
6:30 Sweet potato with peanut butter, goraw granola, cinnamon and honey. Breakfast of champions!
7:45 Enjoying the last few minutes the restaurant where I work officially opens for breakfast. Iced coffee, times three. Buzzz!
10 AM Grapes make a good snack at work… they’re bite-sized and don’t make a mess of you!
12:30 Breakfast-for-lunch by way of overnight oats. I’m running low on fresh produce, so my bowl (which isn’t much of a looker) comprised of almond milk yogurt, chia seeds, oats, banana, and peanut butter.
2:30 Done with the workday! And off to the gym I go. My secret for getting myself there on days I feel sluggish? 1) I wear my spandex under my work clothes so I’ll have to answer to myself if I change without getting them sweaty, and 2) my walk home takes me right past the gym!
3:30 After an easy workout, I find fresh fruit from a corner stall.
4:00 Feeling parched, I drink down a bottle of KeVita. I LOVE this lemon ginger flavor! (I also sample the chai-spiced date rolls I made earlier. Quality control, ya know!)
6:00 Early dinner at Two Boots Pizza. A slice of Earth Mother for me!
7:00 My friend Howard and I go to the Museum of Modern Art for the opening of a new exhibit, “Century of the Child.” New Yorkers, make sure you get to see it… the exhibit is full of magic and whimsy.
At the bar, there are kid-inspired Goldfish and Sour Patch Kid candies.
On our table, a Rubix Cube flower pot! And a bourbon on the rocks for me.
We channeled our inner childs…
… and exploring the serene sculpture garden tucked away in the museum.
8:45 After a day of work and play, I enjoyed an extra thick slice of peanut butter-chocolate cake from my favorite pizzeria. I’m friendly with the staff (I go in for pizza and/or cake at least twice a week!) so they hooked me up, if ya know what I mean.
Now it’s off to the restaurant! At the end of the workday B and I are off on a little mini-vay… catch ya on the flipside
