7 Tips for Eating Clean

Cleanliness and hygiene are two essential terms that  needs to be practiced and implemented with respect to food items. Since our environment is densely polluted with smoke, dirt, dust, and pesticides, we tend to consume items that consist of harmful toxins. Healthy eating not only directs a person towards consuming nutrition rich food stuffs. In fact it means a lot more than what is being said. Eating healthy and clean is often taken up with respect to unprocessed to processed food consumption.

For example: Cornflakes are regarded as healthy food option though it is processed from the raw corn.

Hence, let us learn some few tips that can help us in eating clean

  •  Apples as a raw fruit:Apples consumed in natural state are very juicy, tasty, and naturally sound with several essential nutrients. On processing these apples, one can get tasty apple sauce. Highly processed form of apple  can be used to make apple toaster pastry. Hence in order to eat clean, it is wise to consume more of raw apple than the one in the form of sauce and toasts.
  • Orange in the form of juice: Orange consists of Vitamin C, which is an essential vitamin for one’s body. Pure orange juice is the second form of gaining oranges. Lastly, the highest processed form of oranges gives out orange drink. Hence, it is wise to go in for homemade orange juices rather than the branded ones. A readymade orange drink consists of artificial flavors, corn syrup, and very little amount of real orange juice.
  • Figs: Figs contain high amount of proteins and nutrient value. Consuming it in original form is strongly advised. Figs are then processed to get Figs jam or preservative. Lastly, the high end form of figs is fig sandwich cookies. In order to eat clean, it is good to avoid the preserved form as it may contain preservatives and refined sugar.
  • Sweet Corn: Sweet Corn is happily consumed by roasting or boiling. Processing them to next level can give out tasty corn tortilla chips that can be easily availed from retail outlets. The highly processed form of corns is cornflakes. Hence, while buying corn tortilla chips, consumers should go for the ones that have whole corn, salt and oil.
  • Garlic: Garlic is a popular and favorite cooking ingredient. It is majorly used in its original form by chopping, mincing or dicing them in vertical strands. Processing of garlic gives out a thick, smoky and taste enhancing paste. Several brands have now launched garlic marinades for dressings and for making dips. For eating garlic in clean form, one should opt to use them in minced form rather than the bottled one.
  •  Cream: The natural form of cream is the layer that we get post boiling milk. On processing the milk, one can easily get milk in toned or half cream format. The high end form of processing cream is flavored dairy creamer. It is good to consume flavored dairy creamer in least quantity as it contains colors, corn syrup, etc.
  •  Bread: Bread can be baked at home or can be purchased in ready to eat format. The natural form of bread is whole grain bread. The processed form is wheat bread and lastly, the highly processed format is fortified white bread. It is advisable to consume bread in its natural state as it contains quality and essential nutrients.

These seven food items can help you strengthen the immune system;remain fit to cope with the diseases while eating raw. While in raw form, every item has the nutrition value to its core and provides necessary energy to the body.
