This is the outfit I came up with, coming in at £50.00 exactly!!!
Olivia Square Neck Peplum Bodycon Dress = £20.00
Jasmine Yellow Platform Patent Heels = £12.00
Tulisa Suedette Corsage Frame Bag = £10.00
Elen Oversized Lightening Earrings in Black = £4.00
Una Ink Classic Nail Varnish = £4.00
Total Cost = £50.00
Featuring the ideal silhouette for Autumn/Winter 2012, I opted for this black bodycon peplum dress as the base of my outfit because I don't really have a LBD as such, and certainly not one that could be classed as being appropriate for a number of occasions; whereas this little beauty ticks all the boxes. It's sexy yet refined, it could be work appropriate if worn under a nice fitted jacket and teamed with a pair of tights and if that's not enough reasons, it can be party ready with a few added accessories all for a bargain price tag of £20.00!! Amazing!! I really loved the square neckline of this dress too, so when looking for accessories to accompany it I came across the lightning bolt earrings and felt they mirrored the angular neckline extremely well.
I didn't want a completely colourless ensemble. So for a pop of color against the black, I added these yellow patent heels which certainly draw the eye and give the whole outfit a bit of a kick. Anyone who knows me, knows that my shoes are always a major component to any going out outfit. (Quite often they are the starting point and I construct the rest of the look around them nine times out of ten).
To finish the look, I did want a yellow clutch to match the heels but in traditional shopping style and budget restraints - they had every other color but the one I was looking for. So instead I selected a black suedette clutch. Oh yeah and this outfit wouldn't be complete without a lick of black lacquer on my nails. Taking the spending budget right up to the fifty pound mark on the dot.
What do you think of this outfit combination?? Would you wear it??
