- Fix a bed-time calendar:It is important to fix a time to go to bed. You must be insisting on a fixed bed time for your children but it is important for adults as well. The saying ‘Going to bed early and rising early makes a man healthy and wise’ is apt.
- Check the eating habits before bed time:Try to have your dinner at least 3 hours before your bed time. This time period will digest the food and then as your stomach rests, it will aid your sleeping too. Do not have alcohol or caffeine before going to sleep. Too much eating and drinking before bed time can affect sleep to a great extent.
- More physical activity during day means more peaceful sleep at night: Ensure that your day is filled with some physical activity or the other. Go for a early morning walk or take a walk in the evening. Spend at least 15 minutes exercising but do not indulge in exercise too close to bed time though.
