Calgary Stampede 2014
It’s no secret that the crazy foods are a big draw to the midway at the Calgary Stampede. It seems like each year they try to outdo themselves and the biggest recurring challenge always seems to be “what can we deep fry next?” or “what can we add bacon to to make it better?”. Take last year, for example, some of the highlights of the 31 new items introduced were Chocolate Covered Bacon, Double Bacon Corndog or the Banana Bacon Ear (Elephant ear dough is wrapped around bacon and bananas, deep fried and served on a stick). Would you try Deep Fried Butter? If you were at the Stampede last year it was on the menu.
