I don't believe in bucket lists which is why I'm incorporating an idea from Design Darling (aka Mackenzie Horan) and doing my own version of her 101 in 1001 and doing 30 in 365. The 101 in 1001 just overwhelms me looking at the numbers. I'm not a math kind of gal. Lately I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life. Not work wise, but adventure wise. I actually love adventure to be totally honest. I don't think many people would peg me for that kind of person, but it's the truth. Exploring old abandoned houses is my thing...no not because I think they might be haunted...but because I genuinely love to see the history that people have left behind. For example there is an open old building in downtown Lynchburg (yes it's open to the public...I'm not trespassing) but it's basically falling apart. I think there was a fire there because of the burn marks on the walls and some of the collapsing sections (ok ok...maybe it doesn't sound safe) but upstairs there's this old safe that has to be a ton...literally! It just makes me think about who was there before and who put their belongings in there. If it was a store safe, what did that store manager think? That's just me and my obsession with adventure. I don't like haunted things per say, but I would love to go explore the abandoned insane asylum in Afton, Virginia. I'm sure there are some things "left behind" from long ago, but more so I want to see the places where people once stood. Places that are just there and haven't been touched, as if people left to go home after a long day at work and just never came back. I'm weird, I know. So let's start the adventures!
