Boat Rides No matter where you are in the world, there is a river or canal nearby, there are loads of places that let you hire out boats for a few hours or even for the weekend, whether you just want a nice little family trip along the canal with a bite to eat on your journey, or maybe you want to stay overnight and make it a little holiday, there are ways you can do both! Growing up I used to love Rosie & Jim (hands up who remembers it!), and was obsessed with the barge boat they lived on, it was green and red and the inside was just like a proper little home, the little ones will love it and if they're old enough, can have a little spin on the steering wheel too!
Opera Night
This is something i've always wanted to do, i've watched it all in movies and love the whole the proper olden day opera's, there are regular events in local cities across the country that have "opera nights", it's your chance to dress up in 50's attire and enter your own movie setting! I've heard amazing things about The Pearl fishers eno production if you're looking for something for your date night, it's a wonderful and compelling tale of love & friendship so might be a good one for the two of you :). Photoshoots You could visit your local park or the beach if you have them nearby, you don't have to go too far away, even a little local walk would be perfect! Set up the tripod too and figure out the auto timer to get some really lovely family shots, they don't have to look like those "perfect" images you see online, for me imperfect is so much more natural and emotional. Have fun, get muddy, and enjoy the family time together! Once you're home you can even create a special scrapbook or photo album to keep or give as a Christmas gift to the family! :)What are you planning this summer?
