That’s the first time I’ve had to look up how many days it is to go! Usually I have the number etched on my brain.
Work has been manic this week so a lot of wedding things have been put on hold. Well, with 293 days to go, there’s not a lot that needs doing at the moment. Having two and a half years to plan our wedding does mean that we’re really spreading out the costs and nothing is being left to the last minute, but I do think it would be nice to have just a year to plan so there’s a constant stream of fun things to do and arriving in the post.
What I have done is fixed a date for the bridesmaids to try on their dresses and to be measured. I personally can’t choose between two dresses so I’m going to ask the bridesmaids to try their favourites. I like Alfred Angelo 7016 and 7076, but I can’t choose. They’re actually quite similar dresses in style and price so I’m happy whatever my bridesmaids decide.
That is all I have to report, I’m afraid. When work is so busy it’s difficult to fit wedding things in. A friend of mine resigned from her job so that she could devote all her time to planning her wedding. She didn’t like her job so it wasn’t a difficult decision for her, but wouldn’t it be lovely to do that.
Boss: And why do you need one year anual leave?
Me: Well, I’m planning my wedding.
Boss: Why didn’t you say! Have double pay as well!
If only.
This weekend I’m thinking of designing and making the menu choice slips to include in the invitations. When they’re finished and printed out I’ll show you a sneaky peek!
