At least 25 people killed and over 100 injured as result of a blat in headquarters of an oil company PEMEX in Mexico city. Death toll may rise as many of the injured received burn injuries and are in critical condition. Unknown number of people are trapped inside tower block which houses headquarters of PEMEX. Aid workers are trying to rescue the trapped.
Mexican officials have confirmed the death toll. Cause of blast is not known yet and investigations are underway to unearth the underlying cause of such a powerful explosion. At least 30 people lost their lives as result of powerful explosion at a gas plant of same company in northern Mexico last year.
