March - Shigmo

People of the Hindu faith take to the streets of Goa to pay respect to the Gods during this festival in March. You are invited to take time out of your low deposit holidays to watch the spiritual dances and listen to the distinctive sound of the pulsating Indian drums. You might even like to try some of the traditional food that is prepared for this special occasion. (Photo "Our Lady of Immaculate Conception" by sachyn)
April - Goa Carnival
The streets will be alive with color and cheer when this three-day festival commences at the beginning of April. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of traditional foods and listen to popular tunes played by the talented local musicians. It might even be possible to catch one of the dramatic evening stage-plays during your Goa holiday.
November - Diwali

Diwali is another major event in the Hindu calendar that is celebrated all over the world during the month of November. The people of Goa come out to burn effigies of the evil King Ravan immediately before the festival. Over the following days they celebrate at fireworks events and street parties.
December - Sunburn

You can leave your inhibitions behind and party hard with thousands of dance music fans at this festival in December. You might even be lucky enough to see big name DJ's such as Sander Van Doorn and Fredde Le Grande spinning the biggest tunes of 2013. And after a full evening of entertainment you can watch the sunrise over the Arabian Sea. (Photo "Cabo-de-Rama" by karlf6688)
