I know it’s a little bit late to say this, but Happy New Year! I didn’t do much in New Year, just stay home as the weather was unfriendly and I feel like watching a classic, I never thought I ended up watching Interiors (1978), Woody Allen’s darker drama inspired by Ingrid Bergman (funny I listed two Bergman films in my Blind Spot list for 2014). But now I just want to take a little time to look back and see the highlights of 2013 :
- The blog was viewed 78.000 times
- The blog have posted 122 new posts
- The best views in a day was 720 views
- And the most popular page that day was Top 10 All Time Favorite Romance Soundtrack (I think it’s a popular post each day, not just that day
) - Most commented post was 2012 : Top 10 Movies
- According to Letterboxd, I have watched 124 films (I’m sure it’s a bit more because some movies weren’t available in the site)
- I have visitors from 184 countries, mostly from U.S., Indonesia and U.K. (yowza!)
- The blog’s top commenters was Chris, Ruth, Asrap and Novroz. Guys, thank you so much for sticking! I love you guys!
- Also thank you for new visitors! Thanks for taking time to comment and sharing your opinion.

Honestly, festivals in 2013 that I attend could be better. Some of them only have schedule on weekends (it was JIFFEST), so they have fewer films than the last time they held it (Not that I was very disappointed, ’cause of my own schedule conflict). I have high expectation on its line up because of my experience last year, but it wasn’t as great as in 2012 (it was Europe on Screen). Hopefully they can do better this year. (PS can you see me next to JIFFEST screen? I already wear hijab, since middle of the year. 2013 was a year of many transitions).

Without music, a movie can be soulless or lack of emotions. These soundtracks to me are the best/my favorites from 2013 (one track as representation/personal favorite). I still listened to them up until now. Great tracks. Here they are :
Bling Ring
Warm Bodies
Hunger Games : Catching Fire
About Time
Kings of Summer
(song played in the movie but unlisted in the official soundtrack)
Honorable Mention :
The Great Gatsby
Just because I had to mention Young & Beautiful by Lana Del Rey

Readers, any thoughts? So, what’s the best first seen movie you saw in 2013? And the best soundtrack too?
