A recent study was conducted with 322 senior level defense and intelligence professionals from organizations and governments worldwide. The survey was designed to help benchmark the current ‘state of the industry’, looking at what their current requirements and concerns are and where they see future trends heading.
Perhaps one of the most apparent key area of focus that can be drawn from the data is one reflected by all ‘Big-Data’-driven industries: Where to put the Data and how to use it.
44% of respondents have said that their main requirement for the next few years will be have data available in a timely manner.
66% of respondents plan to invest in new GIS technology over the next 3 years
Perhaps we could expect to see big changes in the industry.
