2013: A Review

By Jollygoodstudio @JollyGoodStudio
Farewell 2013. I can't believe I've typed that. It has been a super speedy year filled with lots of highlights. But, before I move on to them, I just want to take a quick peek at my 2013 goals and see how I did.
2013: A Review* Take Jolly Good more seriously. My number of Etsy sales did increase compared to last year, which is rather nice. I also created a number of new collections and a few minor tweaks to my website in 2013. But, overal,l I don't feel like I gave it my all. This is probably due to lack of time mixed with a bit of general laziness. Must try harder in 2014.
On the blog side of things I am much more pleased with myself. Apart from the blip that was October, I blogged pretty consistently throughout 2013.  What's even better is I've enjoyed it. I was worried having a schedule would have a negative effect on inspiration and content but I'm really proud of this little internet corner and the posts I've created. I do hope you've enjoyed reading it.
2013: A Review* Learn more metal work skillz.Tick. I attended the Vanilla Ink Intermediate jewelry class where I learned about stone setting and working with resin. I even put my skills to use to make a creepy ring for myself. I also attended the first drop in session at Vanilla Ink and am hoping to keep this up during 2014 so I can develop my skills even further.
* Decorate the flat. It's been a pretty small and slow start but it has made a big difference to one of the worst rooms of the flat. The bathroom featured a weird off green suite and cracked floral tiles. It now has a shiny white toilet and space saving Ikea basin that really help to make it a pleasant room to be in. We spent some time out of our holiday looking at baths and tiles so this room should be completed in the beginning of 2014.
2013: A Review* Read more books.I have done much better than last years measly 3 books. So well in fact that I've lost count of how many I've read. Having my tablet has really helped with this as I can easily download new reading material. I was also helped along by my friend Kimberley who introduced me to Gillian Flynn who's books I've found very enjoyable.
2013: A Review
* Have fun.I sure did. I attended three amazing weddings, a couple of hen do's, went on a zombie bootcamp experience, chilled out in a wigwam and so much more. 2013 was filled with fun little trips visiting friends and family and generally just enjoying myself. Definitely an item to keep on my to do list for 2014.
So it's been a pretty successful year in terms of meeting my goals with a few must try harder's to keep me on my toes for the year ahead.
How have you fared against your 2013 goals?
