As with all fashion trends, wedding dresses are released from designers every season, encompassing new wedding dress trends and styles to fit all brides-to-be.

Fall 2012 Wedding Dress Designers’ Trends

These new designs for the Fall 2012 wedding season are stellar, but some are far from the beaten track. Straying away from the traditional white wedding gown, fashion designer Vera Wang “threw the bridal world a curve ball when she sent a parade of nude and black dresses down the catwalk. This black bias-cut mermaid gown with a V-neck and open back is as daring as it gets and is, as Wang puts it, ‘both mysterious and sexy.’ Like the cut but not the color? Ask for it in white or ivory.”

Many designers tackle wedding dress designs with a fashion forward approach. Although the tradition is white, what’s wrong with donning a dress that showcases your natural curves, bust or neckline in a high-fashion light, or sporting a gown with subtle prints, like pastel colored flowers to match the theme colors of your wedding.

Short Wedding Dress/ Second Dress

Something that you rarely see in the ‘fairy tale wedding’ are the dresses of the short persuasion: blossoming brides are typically wanting to wear a traditional long and virginal white gown. But perhaps something short and stylish fits your body style and your fashion style a bit better, or you’re looking for a dress that fits your small civil ceremony better than walking through a courthouse in a gown? This gorgeous Hayley Paige mini strapless dress is gorgeous for any fashion-forward wedding.

From the unusual to the obscure, tradition often reigns in the world of weddings. Many designs that are very traditional come through the catwalks each season. If you’re truly looking to showcase your perfect figure, try this one on for size.

Marchesa Wedding Dresses

“Always the forward-thinking duo, Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig elegantly blended classic romance and modernity in their Fall 2012 collection. This gown, called Asa, mingles the enduring beauty of draped tulle with the glittering, ethereal flourish of an embroidered underlay.”
