At least 19 people including four women were killed and 25 others injured when a suicide bomber rammed the explosive-laden car to the buses of Shia pilgrims in Mastung area of Balochistan on Sunday morning.
According to sources the buses were carrying pilgrims from Quetta to Taftan in Iran. As a result of the explosion one bus was completely destroyed while the other one damaged partially.
Confirming the incident, Mastung Deputy Commissioner Tufail Baloch said 19 people were killed in the attack adding the investigations have been launched.
The rescue teams and ambulances rushed to the affected area and launched the relief activities. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Mastung. Several injured are said to be in critical condition and death toll is feared to climb.
No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack so far.
