17 Killed, 48 Injured in Jamrud Blast

Jamrud blastAt least seventeen people were killed and 48 others injured in Jamrud district of Khyber Agency on Monday when an explosive-laden car exploded with a blast.

According to sources, the blast took place in the Jamrud market next to the soldier bazaar.

The security forces cordoned off the area after the explosion and launched investigations.

The rescue teams shifted the dead bodies and injured to the Hayatabad Medical Complex. Several injured are said to be in critical condition and the death toll is feared to climb.

Several vehicles, nearby shops and offices were damaged as a result of the blast.
