16 Killed, 35 Injured in Nowshera Blast

Nowshera blastAt least 16 people including women and children were killed and 35 others injured when a car bomb tore through the Jalozai refugee camp in Nowshera on Thursday.

The intensity of blast was as much that it was heard miles away. Several nearby vehicles were also damaged due to the blast.

According to DPO Nowshera, it was a remote controlled blast and detonative material was hidden in a car.

The dead and the injured were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital while emergency has been declared in all hospitals of the city. Several people are still said to be in critical condition and death toll is feared to climb.

No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack so far.
