15 Years

15 YEARS
My final event of Scottish Jewellery Week was the 15 Years exhibition. This showed the work of designers who had graduated from a number of Scottish University's over the last 15 years. There were quite a number I recognised from my degree show visits, alongside some designers I wasn't so familiar with. It was great to see how the recent graduates work had developed and even better to be introduced to some beautiful new work. I snapped a whole lot of photos but thought I'd narrow it down and show some of my favourites......
Karen Donovan
15 YEARS
Amazingly intricate statement chains, Karen uses Scottish plants as inspiration. Making jewelry that explores Scotland's rich history.
Katie Lees
15 YEARS
I have been a big fan of Katie Lee's jewels for some time. The angles, the stones, the oxidisation, I love it all.
Bekki Churcher
15 YEARS
Another amazing jeweller using architectural influences to great effect. Bekki's use of enamel and sheet metal create some beautiful muted colours.
Lindsay Hill
15 YEARS
Lindsay's designs were some of my favorite from this years degree shows and I am still loving them, especially that ring!
Joanne MacFadyen
15 YEARS
Another firm Jolly Good favourite, just look at the detail and the stones.Again Joanne's rings totally steal the show for me.
Kathy Vones
15 YEARS
A (new to me) jeweller with some really striking pieces. Such a great mix of materials and uses of technology, which all come together to create some stunning results.
Ebba Goring
15 YEARS
These pretty jewels really caught my eye with their stunning detail and textile influences. Those heart earrings are just perfect.
Ruth A. Morrisson
15 YEARS
More textile influences, this time with flashes of tweed, in Ruth's beautiful designs. And look at that touch of triangle at the back.
Jane Gowans
15 YEARS
And, of course, it wouldn't be a Dundee jewelry event without the amazing Jane Gowans. Her collections are always a treat to behold. Just look at that amazing double finger ring.
Ok, so it was really hard to whittle down my favourites! I thoroughly recommend you have a look at all the amazing exhibitioners and start getting excited for next years Scottish Jewellery Week, I know I am!
