11 Shot Dead Near Pak-Iran Border

GwadarSome unknown men opened fire on a bus near Pakistan-Iran border late on Friday, killing 11 people and injuring several others trying to cross the neighboring Iran illegally.

According to levies sources, the incident occurred in Dasht Sansar, a mountainous region near Gawadar port city, where breaded armed men opened fire on the bus carrying the passengers from Punjab province and fled the scene.

Levies rushed to the area immediacy after the incident and launched search operation. The bodies and injured had been shifted to Gawadar Civil Hospital.

The victims wanted to enter Europe through illegally crossing into Iran, levies source added.

It is pertinent to mention that scores of people, mostly belonging to Punjab and Afghan nationals attempt to enter Europe via Iran, using the Makran route, for a bright future every year.
