1. Jerry Seinfeld : Almost everyone knows him, but when he first got on stage, he panicked and faced a lot of criticism. He believed he could handle that, so the following night he played a sketch and received applause from the audience.
2. Fred Astaire : At his first audition Astaire received a piece of paper saying "Cannot play. Cannot sing. Almost bald. Can dance a little." Later on Astaire became a famous actor, but he kept that piece of paper to remind him where he came from.
3. Sidney Poitier : At his first audition the script writer said, "Why don't you stop wasting everyone's time and go somewhere to wash dishes?" Determined to prove him how good he was ," Poitier won an Oscar and became one of the most respected actors. 
4. Jeanne Moreau: When she was still young, the French actress was said that she was not pretty enough to participate in the movies. This was not true either, because later on she participated in more than 100 films and won numerous awards.
5. Charlie Chaplin : It's hard to imagine a funny movie without the participation of Chaplin, but in the beginning a lot of script writers rejected his ideas, because according to them they were too meaningless to be interesting.
6. Lucille Ball : Lucille was nominated for 13 Emmy awards and won four of them. Before taking the lead role in "I Love Lucy" she was regarded as a failure as an actress. Even her private acting teachers and told her to look for another career. But she proved them she was capable of succeeding.
7. Harrison Ford : During the filming of his first film, Ford was said that he did not have the necessary qualities to be a star. But starring in films such as "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" Ford proudly proves that he his a star.
8. Marilyn Monroe : Before the period of great success in her life she was told that it was better to look for a job as a secretary. However, she became a successful actress and model.
9. Oliver Stone : The Oscar Award-winning director, wrote his first novel while studying at Yale and that was the reason for his leaving the university. This decision was not successful, because the book was rejected by publishers and it was well accepted much later, in 1998. Stone moved to Vietnam, where he taught English, and later took part in the war there. He won two Purple Hearts, which helped him find inspiration for his future work, which mostly focused on the war theme.
10. Steven Spielberg : Spielberg's name is a synonym of amazing big budget movies but it was not always that way. Spielberg tried to enter the University of Southern California Theater three times before he was accepted. Spielberg succeeded in another school, but soon left to become a director. 35 years after he returned to school to get his diploma.
