10 DC was created to solely house the much-loved cakes of 10 Dove Street as well as their new pastry offerings to satisfy any sweet tooth’s palate. It is the perfect venue for both leisurely chats and corporate meetings as it is tucked away from the busy roads of the city.
Yay! Silver ticket for me! :D
During the grand opening, they gave out golden tickets to the first 10 customers and silver tickets to the first 100 customers thereafter. This promo was blasted a few weeks before the opening day so the race for those sweet tickets was an agenda for all 10 Dove Street cake fans. The golden ticket winners were entitled to free whole cakes for 10 weeks and the silver ticket holders would win free cake slices for 10 weeks. Since 10 Dove cakes are my favorite, I marked my planner to line up for the ticket – gold or silver, whatever, as long as I get my 10 weeks’ worth of cake. The confectionery would open at 10 a.m. so I thought being there by 6:00 a.m. would do. Well, my bed held me down so I arrived at 7:30 a.m. and to my disappointment, there were already more than 30 people lined up. Haha! So, silver ticket it is for me. I’m still a happy camper! Apparently, the golden ticket winners lined up since 11:00 p.m. the night before. Ergo, I concede; well deserved for them!
Entering the charming house, you are greeted with a showcase of their famous cakes on a long table. Being my favorite cakes in town, I always find it a challenge to narrow down my choices because I adore all their cakes. My recommendations would be (not in any particular order):
- Ube Cake
- Mango Yogurt
- Fruit Medley
- Avocado Cake
- Opera
- Chocolate Decadence (their all-time bestsellers)
Guaranteed, once you visit 10 DC, you’ll instantly fall for its charm and irresistible sweet treats especially once you take a bite of their cakes. Fortunately, it’s a stone’s throw away from where I live. It’s definitely my new favorite spot in town.
I highly recommend their cakes for all special occasions. They come in 6 inches and 9 inches with prices ranging from P650 for classic cakes to P1,200 for their premium collection. I assure you, whatever cake you pick, it’s a crowd pleaser!
