Thanksgiving is around the corner, and with it comes feasts with family and friends - and I love it! For the past few years, I've been having "Friendsgiving" with a handful of my closest friends and their significant others, all of whom have given up the hassle of holiday travel. Each couple takes turns hosting by providing the home, ambiance and of course, the booze, and everyone else brings either a vegetarian or vegan dish or dessert. (Most of us are vegetarians and vegans anyway, and for those who aren't, it's a delicious break from meat.) We also include recipe cards for the dishes we bring, so that everyone will be able to go home and make everything that was served.

I'm as passionate about healthy cooking (and eating!) as I am about tennis, and these are some of my fave (and SO good-for-you) vegan/vegetarian main dishes, sides, soups and salads and desserts that even carnivores will love!
