#033 – A Buzzword Lookup – “Twee”

adj.Chiefly British

Overly precious or nice.
[Alteration of tweet, baby-talk alteration of sweet.]

to be obnoxiously sweet, or quaint. It comes across as being disingenuous, corny, or effeminate. chiefly British

: affectedly or excessively dainty, delicate, cute, or quaint<such a theme might sound twee or corny — Times Literary Supplement>
