Good news! The audio description has been fixed for Jeopardy masters (Hulu), so now I can mention it. It’s the same voice that vi-Tech also has been using this year on Not Dead yet and Will Trent. It’s helpful when you don’t know what the scores are, but admittedly, I watch regular Jeopardy every night without AD, because I’m there for the questions. I play along, and I think a lot of people do. But, thanks to ABC/Hulu for making sure this actually gets done.

Parasite: The Grey (Netflix) is an interesting series, still gory as anything out there, but I’m certainly intrigued. I’m glad Netflix has audio description on international content, and I’m trying really hard to not criticize, because I really want more of this. But, yes, the quality of the AD could be better.

I finished The Dynasty (Apple Plus), which I found interesting, and I don’t even watch football. A solid documentary, with solid narration all the way through. I’d say this doesn’t really paint Bill Belacheck in the best light, as he doesn’t even seem like he wants to participate in the documentary. Every time he gets called out on something, he dodges it, and then the filmmakers get someone else’s opinion. I can’t imagine he’s happy with the final product. But if you are a Tom Brady fan, this should please you.

Knuckles (Paramount Plus) fourth episode is dumb and a waste of time. While I’ve enjoyed the show thus far, and I like Adam Pally, the fourth episode is dumb. It just is. And the audio description still sounds like it is coming in mono.

The Tattooist Of Auschwitz (Peacock) had Lolly trying to get medicine for the girl he likes to keep her healthy. As expected, things don’t always go the way you want them to… during the holocaust. I’m getting pretty impressed with Jonah Hower King though. He’s doing some really strong work.

I’m still watching The Sympathizer (MAX), which at times charms me, but most of it just seems like tonally so unbalanced. Like, the heavy moments don’t really land because the series has such a comedic tone most of the time. Robert Downey jr is good, but certainly has been betterr. If he was going to do TV, I would want him in something truly challenging. Most people like this, I’m just an outlier. The audio description is fine though, I’m just not a big fan of the show.

Franklin (Apple Plus) still balances the audio description dubbing above the voices, and makes odd choices. More than one person is available, yet some of the conversations are still between one voice. It’s confusing. I’m also a little creeped out at Franklin constantly hitting on this younger woman, much younger, and Michael Douglas has been better before as well. This is just alright. Poor Noah jupe sounds way too modern.
