Rate My Meals – 2011-03-01

By Johnisfit @johnisfit

This is my second day in a row posting after only having posted once in the prior month so that feels good. I was planning on exercising this morning too but I managed to develop a sore knee while driving home last night – last night I could barely walk on it, this morning it feels better but still don’t want to exert it at all. It was weird, I was fine when I left work, then after about 90 minutes I stopped for gas and I noticed it was a little sore. I got home about an hour later and all of a sudden I was gimping around and could barely walk. Very odd, hope this isn’t a sign that I’m starting to deteriorate.

Here’s what I had to eat on Tuesday:

Tuesday Meals

This was my last morning in the hotel, but since I was able to do some grocery shopping I could eat fairly healthy. Breakfast was a bowl of instant oatmeal with blueberries, a banana and a lowfat yogurt. I also discovered I could buy for a quarter a little peanut butter packet (3/4 of an ounce) so I grabbed one of those to add to the oatmeal as well.

For lunch I had my now traditional foot-long veggie sub on white with spicy mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, jalapenos, spinach, extra cucumbers (I pretend it’s the meat!), salt and pepper. I had a bag of apple slices instead of the chips and added a yogurt as well. Had a banana for a snack on my car ride home.

My wife made a chicken and rice dish for dinner but they had already eaten and put away the leftovers by the time I got home. Since my knee was sore and I was feeling lazy I simply pulled the container of leftovers out of the fridge and ate it cold. It actually wasn’t bad – while cold it was not congealed or anything since it had been put away only about an hour or so previously. Probably not the healthiest with the sauce but there wasn’t too much so I think it was OK. I had a bowl of grapes to go along with it although I ended up eating those after, sort of like a dessert.

I’m really going to make an attempt to get my first 7 Day Chip this week. This was Day Two.

Overall I think I did pretty well eating despite being on the road.

So how do you think I did? Click a star!
