Hidden Wheat Ingredients

By Dotchi Latham @DotchiLatham
If you are allergic to wheat, you may be consuming it in your foods without realizing it. Wheat has different names and types, for example: did you know kamut is wheat? Yup, it sure is!

If you are reading labels carefully, you might see a label that states "contains wheat". Then you read the ingredients but can't figure out where the wheat is in your canned soup. Well, that's because some ingredients aren't called wheat, but come from wheat.

Here is a list of things to look for on your food labels when you are trying to figure out if it has wheat or not. The ones with a * MAY contain wheat.

I am listing the obvious ones (like wheat bread) and the not so obvious ones (like oats).
