Tips to reduce the risk of high blood pressure:
Since hypertension is a disease closely linked to lifestyle, changes in the latter are the best measure to prevent it.

Adopt a healthy and balanced diet:
A balanced diet involves the consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and especially good fats to maintain good heart health. Foods high in fat, sugar or salt are in turn to be banned. The sodium intake, especially, must be limited to reduce blood pressure. For this, it is advised to avoid the intake of processed foods, sausages, chips, canned foods … that contain large amounts of salt.

Furthermore, a potassium important contribution is recommended. Eat bananas, spinach or apples that are good sources of this mineral.

Play sports :
Having regular physical activity is a good way to control weight but also their blood pressure and maintain cardiovascular health. According to a study of 6000 men between 35 and 60 years, the risk of high blood pressure may decrease by 12% by walking for 11 to 20 minutes per day.

Avoid alcohol:
As aforementioned, excessive alcohol consumption is associated with high blood pressure. It is therefore recommended to limit or avoid alcohol to prevent this disease.

To manage stress :
It is imperative to move away from stressful situations and learning to manage stress to prevent many diseases, including hypertension.
