Zou Bisou Bisou

The première season of Mad Men features Don Draper turning 40 and just a little grumpy. His beautiful wife Megan throws him a surprise birthday party of which he is embarrassed by. Unfortunately his embarrassment increases when his French Canadian wife sings and performs in front the guests, the catchy tune Zou Bisou Bisou. Bisou means kisses, and well...you can figure out the rest.
No need to be embarrassed, she was fantastic - but that's just Don Draper. I personally loved it and found the scene stole the show!
The song and her performance was such a hit it has gone viral and is now available on iTunes! The original singer is Gillian Hills and here is the 1962 version:

And here is Megan Draper's version. Note her fantastic dress, slim legs and perfect shoes. According to Jane Bryant, the costume designer for the show, she found the dress but the sleeves were shattered. Jane had the sleeves re-constructed, re-pleated and added the rhinestone cuffs.
Want to know a little secret? I think one of my dresses was used for Megan towards the end of the show. I am trying to find the photos from the episode. I sold the dress last year and hoping to track it down. If you watched the show, it's towards the end of the episode, Megan is in the office wearing an off white shift dress with brown and orange. Will keep you posted!
