Zella Day played a sold out show to a very excited Bowery Ballroom audience, most of whom know her by catchy tunes like “Hypnotic” and “East of Eden”. The Arizona native started off the show with some of her newer, less familiar tunes off her upcoming record Kicker. At just 20 years old, she has an incredibly strong and engaging presence, even jumping off the stage into the crowd during “Compass”.
The show culminated with the crowd-pleasing track “Hypnotic”, which got everyone moving and singing along. Before walking off the stage, she also premiered her new single “High”, which is available for download now. Many people can’t help but compare her to Florence Welsh and Lana Del Rey, but I think Zella Day has proven that she’s a very versatile artist with her own style.
