Zadie Smith Hearts Jon Snow

By Robert Bruce @robertbruce76

You guys might know I’ve become a bit of a Game of Thrones fan boy. Can you believe that season 5 finale? Holy crap!

Anyway, while doing a little research on White Teeth author, Zadie Smith, I found this little nugget—which made me laugh, especially if you know my opinion on Virginia Woolf.

Smith recently wrote a short story called Escape from New York, so The New Yorker asked her which three people she’d take on a road trip with her.

She picked four. Her answer:

I’m going to squeeze one extra into the back seat and go with a mixture of real and fiction, comedy and wisdom, friendship and eye candy: Zora Neale Hurston — she’s driving — Louis C.K., Virginia Woolf, Jon Snow.

That’s right: Jon Snow. Never mind he’s fictional. Do you think she mean Kit Harington, or Kit Harington acting as Jon Snow?

Whatever the case, I love the idea of Virginia Woolf on a road trip with Louis C.K. and Jon Snow.

I’m trying to imagine the usually stoic Jon Snow chilling in the back seat with Louis C.K. What type of hijinks would those crazy kids get into?
