Food pouches are very popular for kids these days. They are convenient ways to transport and store food, but what about all of the extra trash they produce?
Yummi has created food pouches that are reusable! I was sent their NEW Yummi Pouch Brights set to review, and I love them!
I was very impressed when I received my Yummi food pouches. I was uncertain of their ability to hold and contain food without making a mess, but they have exceeded my expectations!
The pouches have a zipper opening at the top where you can either pour in or spoon in food. For me, it was a bit hard at first to open, so I know for a fact that not even my Super Ninja daughter can open them and make a mess!
To get the food in, you simply blow into the pouch through the nozzle to open up the inside. You spoon in the food and zip it back up. The pouches can be stored in the fridge or freezer, and they are made to stand on their own once fully filled.
To eat, the kids open the nozzle and use it like any other pouch. The great thing about these is that they are washable and reusable; no need to throw them out when the kids are done!
My kids love using these pouches. The designs on this set are really cute, making them appealing no matter what is inside!
I like that I can put one in my son's lunch box for school with his current favorite, applesauce. I also like that I can fill up a few and take them along for a ride.
These pouches would make great storage bags for homemade baby food. They also can be used as baggies for dry foods, such as small crackers, pretzels, carrots, etc.
They are easy to wash. Simply rinse them out, and stand them up in the top rack of the dishwasher. I recommend allowing them to dry standing up before storing.
