Google has decided to take on Apple’s iTunes Music Festival with its’ own music awards show, “YouTube Music Awards” which will take place on November 3rd.
Nominations will be chosen from the most watched YouTube music videos over the past year. And after announcing the list on October 17th, YouTube will allow fans to vote for their favorite artist by sharing their nomination on social networks. One with the most shares win. Which means, it’s not really a battle of talents but basically a battle among artists with the biggest fan base.

The ceremony will take place in New York and it will be live streamed across the globe via YouTube as well. Popular artists like Lady Gaga, Eminem and Arcade Fire have already been signed up to perform at the show.
