Get ready to see GIF of YouTube videos being shared everywhere with the video link. YouTube is now testing a new feature which allows users to create a GIF from the videos they want to share.
The GIF can be no longer than 6 seconds and could only be created in a continuous time from any part of the video. This option is available only when you click on the ‘Share’ tab below the video ( along the video description ).
YouTube is now testing this feature with a handful of few YouTube creators. PBS Idea Channel was the first one to spot it and bring it everyone’s attention.
The GIF creator is a very simple tool integrate by YouTube which lets you choose the start and stop point from the video and lets you add a header and a footer text. The top and bottom texts which you add look like the generic Meme text we are familiar with.
To try it out, head over to any video of the PBS Idea Channel and click the Share button below, you will find a new ‘GIF’ tab where you can create a gif which you can share along with the video link. The GIF created below is from the YouTube GIF tool from one of the videos.
