This is an amazing TED talk by a 15 year old boy called Jack Andraka. He developed a cheap, quick and very accurate test for Pancreatic cancer. Amazing how "think differently" can be so successful. I read an article with the boy's mom in the Evening Standard, in which she said she encouraged her son to do scientific tests but was not very happy finding a container with a home-made E Coli virus on the kitchen table one day.
His invention is unfortunately too late for Steve Jobs and my friend Marscha who both died of this horrible decease but hopefully will save many people in the future!
