Yours Forever

Posted on the 24 October 2018 by Cheekymeeky

I have been crazy busy these past couple of months, and blogging has taken a bit of a backseat. I am hoping that now things are much calmer, I"ll be able to pay attention to this space a little bit more.

Fingers crossed. It seems just when I start to relax, life throws me some curveball, leading me back on the treadmill (metaphorically, it's been months since I moved butt) of the work, home, blog juggle (where blog eventually loses, as it should).

Anyway, enough of my personal life. On to this next book I am reviewing called Yours Forever. Because I've been so tied up, I have had the attention span of a toddler, and haven't been able to concentrate on anything meaty.

In this frame of mind, Yours Forever worked perfectly for me.

About the Book
Yours Forever

What happens when you fall in love with someone who has vowed to never love again?
Sneha's luck is cursed. What she had anticipated to be a joyous ride into her residency, turns into a scene from hell when the man she had an altercation with on her first day, turns out to be her supervisor, Dr. Shiva a.k.a. Dr. Hothead a.k.a. The Ice King. And just when she thinks life can't get any worse than this, the unthinkable happens. She falls in love with him!
From a man she loathes, Shiva turns into the love of her life.
But he has had enough of heartbreaks to last him a lifetime. Even though enamored by the endearing and beautiful Sneha, he is still resolved to love no more.
As Shiva coldly casts Sneha out of his life, will Sneha meekly listen, never to appear in front of him again? Or will her love manage to melt Shiva's impenetrable heart?

~ Synopsis from Amazon
My Review

I really loved the simplicity and realistic feel of this love story. The synopsis makes this seem like a very typical love story, but it is so much more than that. All the characters in the book were well-rounded and relatable. Sneha especially is a gem, coming across so beautifully.

At first, I didn't like the character of Shiva much, but seeing him through Sneha's eyes, I slowly came around to liking him. I went into this book expecting a very light and fluffy love story, but I was surprised by how emotionally invested I got in their love story (something that happens very rarely for me).

The only negative about the book is that I thought it slightly long for the story it told. It's a typical Mills n Boon type of story, and in my mind, there is a certain page limit beyond which a romance novel doesn't quite sustain.

Still, overall, if you are looking for a light airport read, that is not immature or silly, you will like this one.

A very good and touching romance.

Huge thanks to Fingerprint Publishing for sending me this book for review consideration.
