Charm bracelets are special, unique and individual to us. I was *asked by Kigu Of London to share my charm story, and I'd love it if you'd share #YourCharmStory in the comments below.

#YourCharmStory

I was 21 when I was first given a charm bracelet (Thanks Sarah Jane). I only have about five charms on the bracelet because I'm so picky about what I put on it. I think they're a little bit like a jewelry version of a tattoo - they tell a story about us, who we are and the journey of our lives.
My name is Holly and I LOVE Christmas, so getting a 'Holly leaf' charm made sense to me. I also have a thistle - being scottish, it was nice to wear something that represented that aspect of me. My other charms are an 'S', because my surname is 'Sturgeon', a maple leaf (I love canada and bought it whilst on holiday) and a cat (I have two cats that we rescued from the cat protection after they had a hard start to life). I do have plans to get more charms, but for a while, I ran out of things that I wanted to put on it, that I felt represented who I am. Writing this post has me inspired to get more and I can't wait to shop at Kigu Of London for ideas.
Each of my charms mean something to me, but my real charm story comes from another bracelet that I was given by a woman who was like an aunt to me. Sadly, she was suffering from a terminal illness, but in her final days, she told my sisters & I that she had made us all charm bracelets to remember her by, which she gave us two days before her passing. Each one was adorned with beads and charms that she felt represented us individually. Almost four years later, I have the bracelet tucked away in a safe place and always think of my dear aunt when I see it. It means so much to me.
So, before I start blubbering, that's my charm story, but what's #YourCharmStory?
