You Should Thank Google for Integrating Google+ Comments on YouTube

Not everyone’s happy about Google new move to integrate Google+ with YouTube to improve its’ comment system. YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim was one of the first to respond to this with his second post on YouTube asking “why the f**k do i need a google+ account to comment on a video?” In the mean time some other YouTubers made hilarious videos dissing Google of making this new change. Some have even launched a petition on Change.org asking to revert the comment system back to original form and over 73,000 have already signed. All of this is actually very natural because people are always afraid of change.

I agree, it can be a little annoying to see how hard Google is trying to push its’ social network to more users. Although, in this case I see it as a very good move by Google. Whenever I view a video on YouTube, almost all the comments on those pages were either from anonymous bullies, trolling or from people who wanted to say the F-word more than any other word on every other page on the Internet, because usually those people have issues with their mom or dad. But, thanks to this new Google+ integration, now those people can’t comment on YouTube without exposing themselves and that’s exactly why all these bullies are so pissed off.

I’m surprised why Google didn’t make this change earlier, because YouTube comment system used to be the most profane discussion board on the Internet. But, I’m also glad it finally happened. YouTube comments can finally turn into civil conversation. Stop complaining about Google forcing you to sign up with Google+, the fact is if you’re registered with a Google service you probably already have a Google+ account. Start using it.
