These photos send me right back to my childhood when my favorite past times included running around barefoot, climbing trees, getting into silly hijinks with my friend Kate. She might kill me if I shared some of the hilarious stuff we did, but I remember above all, the sense of freedom and fun we possessed. I miss spending my afternoons climbing trees.
For a few moments while taking these photos I felt a familiar old feeling… of having nothing more to do in that moment than swing from a tree branch and contemplate the strength of the next highest branch.
