Angus and Julia Stone- You're The One That I Want
In the summer I would definitely have no qualms about wearing this outside; even though it’s quite sexy in a sort of ramshackle way, I’m hardly showing any skin, and you could easily swap the hold-ups for regular tights or socks without losing the mood of the outfit. Red lipstick gives it the something extra, too- what I’m wearing here is a great matte one from Chanel called Pirate. When I was a kid I mostly bought make-up because I liked the name (Illamasqua, Nars and Urban Decay tend to come up with the best titles out there) and I still think there must be some kind of psychological difference between wearing a lipstick you know is called ‘Pirate’ versus wearing one that you know is called ‘First Blush’ or something equally nauseating. I once bought an electric blue liquid-eyeliner (by Urban Decay) that didn’t suit me, just because it was called ‘Speed’, and that concept really appealed to my 13-year-old skateboarder self. It’s a pity ad-men know about this. Haha.
