You Beauty Box

By Nikki Sumner @gamergirl0621
If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I used to subscribe to Glossybox but after a couple of disappointing boxes and in an effort to not spend as much I cancelled my subscription. I wasn't intending to subscribe to any others but then I saw a few blog posts about the You Beauty Discovery box which at £6.95 is much cheaper.
It works slightly differently to Glossybox in that you can choose two of the products you are sent (subject to availability) and you also receive two mystery items as well.
I decided to take the plunge and here is my box.
You Beauty Box
The first thing I noticed is the box is a lot smaller than Glossybox but still nicely packaged (mine got a bit creased from being shoved through the letterbox).
You Beauty Box A booklet outlining all the available products and some blurb about each one.

You Beauty Box These were one of my surprise gifts and they were yummy! They are gluten, wheat and dairy free so suitable for vegetarians and Vegans. Very rich and probably quite good for use in cooking as well I can imagine adding these to a cookie mix.
You Beauty Box The first of my choices a Stila Lip Glaze, I have never owned one so I grabbed the chance to try one and I am excited to see what it is like.
You Beauty Box My second choice Mysterious Crystal Eyeliner, a brand I have never heard of but I am always on the look out for a good eyeliner, especially as my trusty Avon one has just run out.
You Beauty Box Finally my other suprise gift which is a sample of Charles Worthington Salon Home volume treatment which I shall try as I do have very fine hair.
Overall I am pleased with the box, I guess because you can choose you are more in control and I love that you still get unknown items as well so you still get a surprise.
If finances allow I shall keep going with this one as it is a much cheaper alternative to some of the other boxes.
Do you subscribe to any beauty boxes?
