So this Friday, me and my boyfriend went to York to spend the day shopping, have a few tipples of alcohol and stay over in a hotel. I love getting away from where I live, especially to somewhere like York; It's got so much more character and not to mention, a hell of a lot of great shops and bars! My Mum was there on the morning and had booked me in to get a makeover in MAC so I went straight there and an absolutely lovely girl called Megan transformed me for our night out. I was so excited as I'd never had a proper 'makeover' before and it was great to learn some tips in applying makeup. She gave me a glowing bronzed look with a brown smokey eye and a bold lip - exactly what I like! The makeover taught me that I NEED to work on my eye shadow skills! So apart from getting my make-up done, eating lots and getting ridiculously drunk in the Evil Eye Lounge (my favorite place in the world), I also did a spot of shopping. Well, it'd be rude not to, wouldn't it?! Seem as though my city lacks in the shopping department, I took advantage of MAC and found some absolute treasures. *CAUTION: Photo heavy post* Here's some photo's of what I picked up and what I wore on our night out...

It sounds silly but I'm uber conscious about my thighs which have put me off buying a pair of these bad boys, but finally I feel comfortable enough to wear a pair. I couldn't resist all of my purchases, especially the hologram purse and the 217 brush! I hope it will swiftly bring my eye shadow skills along... Please excuse my 'shiny scar' in the last photo - hotel lighting was horrendous! Anyway, that's a wrap - If you get the chance to visit York, please do; It's beautiful!
