Yin and Yang Bandsaw Boxes (Part 1)

By Ollypj @OllyPJ

It’s been a fortnight since I uploaded this first video to YouTube and I had hoped that the second installment would be ready to upload this evening… Well, it hasn’t quite worked out that way – and it has taken me this long to get around to writing about it!

Here it is, for those of you who haven’t already seen it across my social media sites.

It’s another project formed from the remnant folders of footage that date back to 2013. I was greatly surprised, upon publishing the video, to find that I never wrote a blog post about the making of these yin and yang-themed bandsaw boxes… If I can find and organize my old photos, I may well do that soon (I imagine though, that I’ll have to resort to capturing still images from the video files I know of).

I’m going to write a separate post on the narration for this one, which I recorded using my smartphone and, for the very first time. I’m really pleased with the results and it’s a method I’ll continue to use, even where I know my narration requires some refinement.

Hopefully Part 2 will be ready within the next week and, in case you don’t see it on Twitter, Google+ or directly on YouTube; I’ll share it here soon after.

Thanks for reading.
