Yet Another Golden Group from Oxford, Mississippi: Illls [free Mp3]

Nothing compares to that sacred and otherworldly moment when the clouds open up, sunbeams filter through the sky, and the music gods bestow upon you a great new band. It was through this happy miracle that Oxford, Mississippi’s ILLLS managed to fall into my lap. The band actually launched themselves into the music world last week with their debut live performance as the supporting act for indie favorite, Youth Lagoon. They’ve also just released a new EP that features “Teeth” and “Streetcar”, two songs that masterfully mix loud, pounding percussion, bellowing vocals, and wistful guitar riffs.  I plan on keeping an eye on these guys to see what they do next. You should probably do the same!
